They are shaped like a muff so that you can put your hands through both sides of it and scrunch upward. I think they work very well. I found that when I scrunch with a regular towel, it leaves my hair dry and frizzy. When I scrunch with my hands it leaves my hair greasy and limp. But when I scrunch with the Curly Cloths it leaves my hair dry, but not brittle looking. It also lets the natural sheen come through. It doesn&#039;t destroy the natural curl of my hair or make it frizzy. It leaves just enough moisture in my hair. After many years of brushing my hair straight, I discovered that I had naturally curly hair, but didn&#039;t know how to enhance the curls.
